Mimi is a founding member of the firm and a Korean national who was called to the Singapore Bar in April 2015. She is one of very few Korean nationals fully qualified to practice and regularly appear before the Singapore courts.

With over a decade of experience in litigation and arbitration, Mimi has built a strong reputation for representing clients in complex, high-value disputes across a broad spectrum of commercial litigation, international arbitration, insolvency, shipping, and criminal matters. She regularly appears before the Singapore High Court and State Courts and has acted in international arbitrations under major institutional rules, including SIAC, and ICC with arbitral seats in Singapore, New York, and other key jurisdictions.

Mimi also practices criminal law and is currently the only Korean-speaking lawyer who can represent Korean clients in criminal proceedings before the Singapore courts. She has also served as the legal advisor to the Embassy of the Republic of Korea in Singapore for almost a decade and continues to assist Korean companies and individuals based in Singapore.

In addition to complex dispute work, Mimi regularly advises small to medium-sized companies on day-to-day legal issues, including employment matters, visa and immigration concerns, company incorporation, and minor commercial disputes. She plays a vital role in supporting Korean businesses in Singapore by providing practical legal guidance in their native language, ensuring clarity and confidence in navigating local regulations.

Despite her Korean background, Mimi acts for clients from a wide range of jurisdictions, including Japan, Hong Kong, Vietnam, Indonesia, Denmark, and the United Statesโ€”reflecting her ability to bridge cultures and navigate cross-border legal issues with confidence and clarity.
